Re: Johnny Maestro and Pitman Show on February 20, 2010
For the past month we have been in constant contact with Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge concerning the health issues that Johnny is experiencing. Until this time Johnny was hopeful that he could make the show on February 20, 2010. It now appears that his health will prevent him from performing our show. We have decided not to postpone the show to a later date because of the uncertainty of Johnny's health. Instead we have consulted with Johnny and The Brooklyn Bridge to work out the following solution.
The Brooklyn Bridge and the band will appear on the show. Johnny Maestro has a vocalist who has worked with him on many projects and has Johnny's blessings to represent him at the Pitman Show. Johnny's professional reputation is beyond reproach. I know he would not use someone who would embarrass him and The Brooklyn Bridge. I expect we'll all hear the great hits that Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge have become known for.
Please bear in mind there are other performers on the show. Lights Out is an upcoming Acapella group that is close to a major recording contract. 45 RPM has appeared on our shows before and we have received requests to feature them more. They can play the Doo-Wop and oldies with the best. Randy and The Rainbows had national hits and their song "Denise" was featured on the final show of The Sopranos.
Considering all these factors we have a good show. For the past two years we have put on many excellent Doo-Wop shows at the Pitman Theatre. The one constant we have is great support from everyone who attends these shows.
I would like to ask two favors from all our supporters...First and foremost, keep Johnny Maestro in your thoughts and prayers that he will get better soon and be back on stage performing like he always has. Secondly, we would appreciate your support in coming out to see this show. I believe you will not be disappointed.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Show.
Thank You.
